RADM William V. Alford, Jr., USN (Ret.) is the Board Chair of Space Tango, LLC. In this position, he facilitates leadership and alignment to the Company’s vision – creating a better future for humanity utilizing the unique environment of space.

He brings nearly 40 years of military experience serving in two back-to-back Vietnam tours from 1970 to 1972. RADM William V. Alford, Jr. also served as the Deputy Naval Attaché of the U.S. Embassy Israel, served in numerous commands as Captain and below as well as assumed duties as Chief of Staff, U.S. Sixth Fleet; Deputy Commander, U.S. Sixth Fleet, Battle Staff Director and Deputy/Acting Operations Director, U.S. European Command; and Chief of Staff, U.S. Indo-Pacific Commander.

RADM William V. Alford, Jr. followed this with nearly 15 years of business and civilian management experience and counting. After working as a partner at Greenebaum Doll & McDonald Attorneys at Law, RADM William V. Alford, Jr. quickly became a business leader in serval industries. He served as the Vice President and General Counsel at Diamond Shamrock Coal Company, Co-Founder and President of D&K Wholesale Drugs, and Co-Founder of Qualex Manufacturing, LLC. RADM William V. Alford, Jr. also bring previous board member experience from Lexington-Fayette County Airport Board and from numerous boards of charitable organizations such as the Salvation Army, Lexington Speech and Hearing Center, and the Lexington Council of the Arts.
