Kendall Nelson is a Biological Scientist at Space Tango. In this role, he works on the design and implementation of biological procedures, experiments, and systems for Space Tango investigations. Kendall also assists in maintaining the biology lab at headquarters.
Prior to Space Tango, Kendall spent 12 years in the United States Air Force where he specialized in Aerospace Maintenance on the KC-135 Stratotanker. After his first service contract, Kendall received a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Eastern Kentucky University, where he was also heavily involved in undergraduate research studying the signaling of the p75 Neurotrophin Receptor in mesencephalic cells subjected to oxidative stress. After graduation, Kendall worked as a Quality Control Analyst for Catalent Pharma Solutions, where he performed analytical testing of manufactured pharmaceuticals to ensure the quality of the products in accordance with strict guidelines enforced by the FDA for Current Good Manufacturing Practices.
